Nautisch NDSM, Amsterdam

In Nautisch NDSM, architecture and history merge in a city block that embraces the essence of the old shipyard. Inspired by the hard work on the ship objects that once came to life here, a modern architectural vision has emerged, deeply rooted in the maritime soul of the NDSM yard.

In addition to 268 residences, Nautisch NDSM features an office building, commercial facilities, ample parking options, and a lush inner courtyard. We have selected materials such as aluminum, textured concrete, and warm brickwork to make a strong statement that honors and enhances the rich heritage of shipping, water, and industry. The facades, ranging from robust bricks to fresh white panels, nod to the heritage of the NDSM sheds and the passing boats, creating a vibrant palette of past and present.

Each building exudes harmony and functionality, with windows that not only offer stunning views but also create a sense of rhythm and connection. Variations in height and width introduce playful dynamics to the cityscape, creating intimate glimpses into the lush inner courtyard, where nature welcomes you. Here, at the foot of the marina, the connection between building and environment becomes tangible, making Nautisch NDSM not only a pleasant home but also a vibrant meeting place.
