Opticians Jos Peeters, Blerick
The shop is divided into two sections lengthways. Upon entering the shop the customer can decide either to peruse the display wall to the left, or head to the advice table on the right for some individual attention. Expensive glasses can be protected by transparent panels that can be slid over the display wall. Opposite you find the secondary functions of the space, including the advice table, a staircase leading to the staff quarters on the first floor, and an area for eye tests and working on the glasses. These spaces are divided off from the rest with semi-transparent glass panels, offering extra privacy. The only room in the shop that can be closed off is the hearing test room, which is not disturbed by noise from outside. From behind the advice table near the entrance the customer can have a good look at the display wall and get informed about the various possibilities.
