Student accommodation, Diemen

With a minimal budget, a simple studentcomplex has been transformed. Two blocks of stacked shipping containers of two different kinds formed the base. Dok architecten (Patrick Cannon) designed a beaded curtain of green tubes, like a veil around the buildings. Now the two complexes are one unit.The assignment also involved the design of the surface. A majestic row of trees acts as a driveway, to these special dwellings for students.
