Wal quarter, Oss
The Walkwartier is more than just a new city block. It is a vibrant place where history and modernity merge in a dynamic design. Rather than a single massive building, a collection of unique structures enhances the heart of Oss.
The architecture pays tribute to the past, with façades inspired by lost industrial landmarks like the Koekfabriek De Ster. The Classic Cookie on Molenstraat welcomes visitors with a richly detailed façade, while The Modern Cookie on Walplein offers a contemporary counterpart. A grand townhouse rises on De Wal, and the striking corner on Carmelietenstraat serves as a new city gateway.
Rooted in the historic street pattern, the design creates a dynamic urban landscape, complemented by an elegant yet impressive residential tower. White arches lead to Het Warenhuis, the cultural heart with a library, exhibitions, and educational spaces.
The Walkwartier is a future landmark—steeped in history, designed for modern city life.
