Waverveen, Waverveen

On the picturesque Botsholsedijk in Waverveen, this replacement home has been designed with a strong emphasis on simplicity and accessibility within the National Landscape of ‘Het Groene Hart’. With an area of 118 m² and an outbuilding of 50 m², the design offers an open and inviting living space.

This single-storey house has been specifically developed for the client, who relies on assistive technology. The layout ensures that all areas are accessible with a movable bed and wheelchair. Key features such as a ceiling lift, height-adjustable bed, and an adapted bathroom provide a safe and comfortable environment without overwhelming the experience of the various spaces.

Large windows allow abundant natural light to enter the home, offering a stunning view of the spacious garden and the Vinkeveense Plassen. The choice of materials and modern architectural elements with sloped roofs respects local building traditions.

The demolition of the existing structures paves the way for a home that meets the client’s needs. The revised zoning plan, which facilitates the transition from a vacation home to permanent residence, underscores the intention to live long-term in this beautiful setting.
